NO SHRINK FAQ

NO SHRINK FAQ

1: Why was shrink removed?

In Japan, it's customary for Pokémon Center to remove the shrink wrap from trading card boxes like Pokémon before selling them. These boxes contain identical cards and booster packs as the shrink-wrapped ones, but they lack the original plastic seal.

2: Booster boxes without shrink wrap should NOT be purchased from unknown vendors.

Even though many booster boxes are designed with features to deter tampering, a box without shrink wrap might still be susceptible to manipulation. Japanese trading cards are often resealed and repackaged, so it's wise to steer clear of purchasing booster boxes, regardless of whether they're shrink wrapped or not, from unfamiliar or untrusted sources.

3: How do we verify legitimacy

All boxes undergo standard authenticity checks at both our partner Japanese shops and our US-based store. These checks include testing the cardboard tear-strip, examining for any signs of bending or folding indicating prior opening, and assessing the weight and feel of the box's contents.

We provide a money-back guarantee if the guaranteed hits are missing. To qualify for this guarantee, you must record your self opening the package and pulling the box out and opening the box and packs without any breaks in the footage. Packs MUST remain in camera view AT ALL TIMES. Video has to have a time stamp with YOUR name, and order number. This will mitigate any videos being reused. No shrink boxes will not be eligible for a refund if they arrive dented. They are intended to be opened. Hints another reason they do not have shrink.
